C# C# Objects Inheritance Throwing Exceptions

try/catch test not liking my if(expression)

my code bellow:

int value = int.Parse(Console.ReadLine());
try{
       if(value<0 || value>20){ throw new System.Exception(); }
       else{ Console.WriteLine(string.Format("You entered {0}",value)); }
   }
catch(System.Exception){ Console.WriteLine(string.Format("You entered {0}",value)); }

error message: asking if I threw exception when value is less than 0 or greater than 20. I tried splitting the if statements into two try/catch blocks and swapping System.Exception with Exception. no other indication given where the error lies - preview has no info. did I make some syntax error that the compiler isn't catching? (edit)new to using the help feature trying to reformat the question to look better

You don't need a try/catch or an else statement.

All you need to do, is to create an if statement to check if value is less than 0 or greater than 20.

Thanks, pulling off the extra code fixed it.
