Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

Try, except, else

I'm stumped. It looks correct to me, but I'm a bit lost. Any help?

trial.py
def add (num1, num2):
    try:
        (float(num1) + float(num2))
    except: ValueError
        return None
    else:
        return add(1,2)

Try have a look at your except block (you have a miss-placed colon)

example

def add(num1, num2):
    try:
        num1 = float(num1)
        num2 = float(num2)
    except ValueError: # notice the colon :-)
        return None
    else:
        return num1 + num2

Hi Henrik,

I was able to retrieve the answer from another post in the end. Yup, that was were my error was located. So thanks for clearing it up for me!
