Treehouse Android app is not syncing.

The official Treehouse Android app is not syncing anything. When I complete a stage in my desktop browser and start the app, it doesn't show any progress in the stages section.

I don't even know how to learn with the app. I mean, I start a track (Web Design) and land in the stages section with non-interactive stage cards, which seem to do nothing when I touch them. So I can't go further, can't start a single lesson inside the app.

Having the issues on a Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (Android 4.4.2) and on a Nexus 4 (Android 5.1.1).

Thanks for any help.

I have to add that on that day my ISP (Unitymedia Germany) had some problems providing content over ip4 and I couldn't reach some ip4 websites. I thought that it could be the reason why the app was not able to sync any data in this particular time window. Since the ISP fixed this problem (on the same day), the app works flawlessly and I'm able to take courses.
