Tracks

I want to learn coding primarily to develop apps on both android and ios. Rather than just jumping to these tracks I assumed it was probably best to learn some other topics that might play into it. If this is my main goal, what tracks should I complete before learning android and ios development ? Or should I just jump straight to them?

If that is something you want to learn really bad you should give it a try but if you don't have much programming experience I would suggest JavaScript or Python to get the fundamentals of programming.

Hi Andrew, while i agree with Dwayne that it would be a nice idea to do python/javascript first to get a handle on programming concepts, i think if you definitely know you want to do app development you can instead introduce yourself to programming with either Java or C#. I personally would recommend checking out the Java track first :) But again going back to what Dwayne said Python and JavaScript are both excellent languages to start your programming journey!!

I personally started with PHP then moved on to JavaScript, then Ruby and now I am currently learning Python :D
