Too fast?

Is me or this particular teacher just seems to be in a hurry?

you can setup the pace to your liking, in the video panel, at the bottom, you could see, sound, 'cc' etc, there you would see a button to the left like clock, just next to 'cc', it is like you filling up cells, in that option, you could choose the speed from 0.5 to 2, 0.5 is meant to be the slowest, and 2.0 is meant to be the fastest.

Pick the playback speed that works best for you.

As Antonio mentioned, there's a video speed control located between the rewind and caption buttons in the playback controls. It does a great job of speeding the audio without shifting the pitch, and is much smoother than other systems I've seen that try to do the same job. I use it on nearly every video I watch.

I find that I'll use a different setting for each instructor. One adjusted, my frustration factor is reduced considerably.

HI Rex, As well as the technical advice on how to slow down or speed up videos from Antonio and Steven, I also find it useful to watch videos through to get the big picture of what is being taught in the course. I can then go back and follow along with the exercises with a better idea of what the larger objective is. I also find it useful to pause the video to give me more time to copy down the code or to check over it for typos and the like which, for me, are all too common. With practice, you'll soon settle on you favourite techniques for following along and learning the material.
