Java Java Objects (Retired) Harnessing the Power of Objects Throwing Exceptions

Throwing Excpetion with drive() method

I have a compiler error with this question.. wondering where I went wrong

GoKart.java
public class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private String mColor;
  private int mBarsCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    mColor = color;
    mBarsCount = 0;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return mColor;
  }

  public void drive() {
    drive(1);
  }

  public void drive(int laps)
  {
    Int newAmount = mBarsCount โ€“ drive();
    If(newAmount < 1){
    Throw new IllegalArguementException("No Battery Left");
    }
    mBarsCount -= laps;
  }

  public void charge() {
    while (!isFullyCharged()) {
      mBarsCount++;
    }
  }

  public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
    return mBarsCount == 0;
  }

  public boolean isFullyCharged() {
    return mBarsCount == MAX_BARS;
  }

}

First things first... case matters, Int, If and Throw are capitalized. There is a weird character in between mBarsCount and the call to the drive method.

public void drive(int laps)
  {
    Int newAmount = mBarsCount รขย€ย“ drive();
    If(newAmount < 1){
    Throw new IllegalArguementException("No Battery Left");
    }
    mBarsCount -= laps;
  }

That call to the drive method seems wrong...laps is probably a better choice.

my new code is

public void drive(int laps) { int newAmount = mBarsCount - laps; if(newAmount < 1) { throw new IllegalArguementException ("not enough batter remains"); }

mBarsCount -= laps; }

the error is pointing to the illegal argument execption... it cant find symbol
