The syntax for deleting an item from a list using the .remove() method is as follows:

list_name.remove(value_to_remove)

Where list_name is the name of your list, and value_to_remove is the value of item you would like to remove. In this case the name of your list is states, and the value you want to remove is 5. Can you work it out from here?
