This is the worst tutorial video. Can you think about revising it? It is absolute hell trying to follow.

I agree, this is my probably 3rd or 4th time doing this (took about 6 months off) and it's still hell, but such is life. It gets a little easier every time.

I'm sorry to hear it, I already completed the tutorial and doesn't have any problems. What do you mean by click, drag, and release? For me it is simpler if you turn on the "Smart Guides" from the View panel above or simply press "Ctrl + U", it makes it easier to select items in Illustrator or use the "Outline Preview" from the View panel as well or press "Ctrl + Y".

May I suggest taking your time when you follow this tutorial? I do see a few transitions which aren't outlined (moving to the direct select tool was done on his keyboard without really showing where it is), but there rest are just many steps that will need to be learned step by step.

I feel that this video is formatted in the only way you can really teach something like this (besides possibly adding the keyboard shortcuts on the screen as they are used).

Allow me to also suggest using the transcripts to follow at your own pace and include some visuals for the commands.

Thank you, I really REALLY did take my time before even commenting because I wanted to be sure I just was not being dense. I listened to them 1/2 speed, took notes the first couple times then tried again. I'll the try the transcripts before skipping the tutorial all together. Thank you for the suggestion!
