9,782 PointsThere was an update to the VS features/options with a recent update, so the Exclude/Include is not in Solution Exp
I believe VS Community 2015 has had an update recently that changed the features/options when committing changes to github. Exclude and Include are no longer available as options so it may be helpful for an updated guide to be posted to the teacher's notes and/or update the vid.

Thanks for taking the time to report this issue! I'll work on getting the Teacher's Notes updated with the correct information.
Also, just in case you might have overlooked it, it's still possible to partially commit your changes. VS now uses the Git terminology "stage" and "unstage" (instead of "include" and "exclude"). Here's a Stack Overflow post that goes into the specifics.
