iOS Swift Collections and Control Flow Dictionaries in Swift Working With Dictionaries

There seems to be something wrong with these excercies

How is this not the answer to this question?

let iceCream: [string: string] = ["CC": "Chocolate Chip", "AP": "Apple Pie", "PB": "Peanut Butter"]

dictionary.swift
// Enter your code below
let iceCream: [string: string] = ["CC": "Chocolate Chip", "AP": "Apple Pie", "PB": "Peanut Butter"]

The instruction is to assign the dictionary to a variable, not a constant. If you ajust that it should work.

okay understood. I am confused because all the examples create a constant dictionary using let. They update and append the constant dictionary. So are both constant and variable dictionaries mutable?

No, constants (let) cannot be changed. If you want to append to an Array or Dictionary, they need to be assigned to variables.

The task specifically asks you to create a variable not constant

Assign this dictionary to a variable named 'iceCream'.
