22,248 Pointsthe video say gem install sqlite3. The notes on the bottom say gem install sqlite. I had to research and install 1.9.3
Do you gem install sqlite3 with 1.9.3 or gem install sqlite with 2.0. I wish you added a process in the video that worked correctly or updated the video? Totally frustrated and confused when the video process creates a conflict. I have a 64-bit machine and there is no 1.9.3 for 64-bit, but the current 2.0 Ruby gets and install error with the command in the video gem install sqlite3.

22,248 PointsI gave up and purchased a MacBook Pro. So much for trying to "think different". ;)
Everything works fine now. Having a Mac is like an unfair advantage - it's pre-installed with Ruby and you don't have to use GitBash or any of the other nonsense. No conflicts. Worth every penny (except Excel for Macs sucks eggs as does Numbers")

Though personally I hate all the technology of software we use right now, so old school in comparison to what we will have tomorrow.

20,893 PointsIt looks like quite a few windows users have encounter errors when installing everything needed for this course (I myself have too..)
I think best best work around it take ensure you are download and installing all the same versions (Outdated in the video sadly...) Though I still have not successfully installed everything...
