The preview never works on any exercise.

Whenever I do an exercise the preview always comes back blank, no matter what I type in.

For this one, I entered the code below and it said it was wrong, yet when I put it in Xcode it runs and delivers the desired result ask from the exercise.

let name = "Jay" let hi = "Hi there" let greeting = "(hi),(name)"

strings.swift
// Enter your code below
let name = "Jay"
let hi = "Hi there"
let greeting = "\(hi),\(name)"

The challenge never asked you to make a constant called name. You should eliminate that part.

Remember this:

Even if it works on your machine, it doesn't mean it will work in the challenge.

You need to do exactly what the challenge says (code challenges are really picky).

Try this:

// Enter your code below
let name = "Jay"
let greeting = "Hi there, \(name)"

Good luck! ~Alex
