The preview button won't open in a new tab or new window.

Can someone please let me know how to get the preview feature in the workspace to open up a new tab or new window? It is opening in the same window and it is getting very annoying having to either click back from the history tab, command[ or click close and then get prompted.

Please help if you can. Thanks!

The normal behavior of the preview is to open a new tab in the browser. I have not seen it open in the same window.

Try restarting the workspace, and if that doesn't do it, perhaps restarting your browser.

Thank you for your suggestion. I have already done both of these multiple times, and I have restarted my computer as well, it is still not working.

Perhaps there's a configuration setting in your browser that affects this. I didn't need to set anything special for Chrome, but perhaps you are using a different browser.

i am using the safari browser, It was working initially. I have been using Safari since I began, but I am now using Chrome and it is working. I don't like the Chrome browser though because it opens a new tab in the browser and not a new window.

It is fine, I did submit a trouble ticket though.

if it works the same as on Windows, you can "snap off" the tab to make a new window.

I'm uncertain why it's necessary to open a new preview each time. Pressing ctrl + f5 should refresh your browser (or the refresh button) So only one preview tab is needed, at a time. However, relaunching the work space may be necessary as you advance to the next video. Then you'd need to delete the former tab, open (preview) a new tab and refresh as needed.

It should not be necessary to do anything but refresh the preview, unless it was replacing the working window each time you opened it (as described in this question).
