The new bash for windows 10 or CMDER or Linux to use the console?

The new bash for Windows 10 can be used for the course "Console Foundations"?, or it's recommended to install CMDER. Anyway, does CMDER work just like the "console" of Treehouse ("Launche Console")?

As a last resort, how convenient is it to install Linux for web development? (The author Jim Hoskins says: "you could use Linux on your desktop to develop, and many do - it 's great") Which version of Linux is recommended to install?

I would recommend downloading the VMware Player. It's free for personal use and will run multiple OSes as virtual machines on your computer. Then, I would recommend downloading Ubuntu Desktop, and using that as your introduction into Linux. There are many "flavors", but I personally feel that Ubuntu is the most polished and user-friendly of them all.
