iOS Swift Basics Swift Types Recap: Swift Types

The example says I should make the constant output, but the console says It should be a constant named product

let firstValue = 2 let secondValue = 4

let output = "(firstValue) * (secondValue)"

what am I doing wrong

You should do both. The product constant is supposed to handle the calculation and the output constant handles the presentation of the values and result.

let firstValue = 2
let secondValue = 4

let product = firstValue * secondValue

let output = "The product of \(firstValue) times \(secondValue) is \(product)"
