The color doesn't change eventhough I have set it to #gallery li {color: #d400d4}.

5,144 PointsYou need to be more specific with your css identifier. Currently you are trying to apply the color to the <li>; however the color rule applies to text only, and since you have no text within the <li> element, there is nothing to apply the color to.
Try this:
gallery li p {color: #000000;}
This will target the paragraph element within the link element. The text font should then change color. Let me know how it goes!
