Technical Support -- Computer basics learning module (last three) doesnt allow you to "check your worK" communicationerr

Are there other ways to verify if I am putting the right codes? Another open source module or app to practice the different languages? (HTML, Java, PHP)

You either need and IDE (Integrated development environment) to list out your mistakes and so.

Or maybe this software. Havent used it myself, but it supports alot of languages.
