I'm going to say you aren't getting $_POST['wptreehouse_form_submitted'] In the code you have an extra closing curly brace. "}" if I'm wrong let me know and I'll be happy to help out.

<?php

function my_plugin_options_page() {

if (!current_user_can('manage_options')) { wp_die('You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.'); } if( isset( $POST['$my_plugin_hidden_field_username'] ) ) { $my_plugin_hidden_field_username = esc_html( $_POST['wptreehouse_form_submitted'] ); } require (plugin_dir_path( __FILE_ ) . '/includes/page-wrapper.php'); ?>
