3,040 PointsTask 1/3 not working on Task 3/3
Hi everyone, It might be indenting or a bug - but I keep getting 'Task 1 not working' on Task 3. I'm sure there's a mistake in my coding for Task 3, however, what I set in Task 1 (import random) remains untouched. Any ideas? Thanks
import random
start = 5
def even_odd(num):
# If % 2 is 0, the number is even.
# Since 0 is falsey, we have to invert it with not.
return not num % 2
while start > 0:
random_number = random.randint.(1, 99)
if even_odd(random_number) == True:
print("{} is even".format(random_number))
else:
print ("{} is odd".format(random_number))
start -= 1

42,762 PointsYou have one typo in the code you uploaded. There should not be a "." after randint.
random_number = random.randint.(1, 99)
But the source of your code not passing is as you guessed, indentation. Every time through your while loop you want to be decrementing start by 1. You have the correct line of code:
start -= 1
The problem is your statement is not inside your while loop. Adjust the indentation on this line so it's in the loop and you should pass.
