1,462 PointsSyntax error for "break"
below is my code, exactly the same as Kenneth's, but it's not working...
======================================== import random
generate a random number bettween 1 and 10
secret_num = random.randint(1,10)
def game(): while True: #get a number guess from the player guess = int(input("Guess a number between 1 and 10"))
#compare guess to secret number
if guess == secret_num:
print("You got it! the number was {}".format(secret_num)
break
else:
print("nope, that's not it")
game()
treehouse:~/workspace$ python number_game.py
File "number_game.py", line 14
break
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
Can someone tell me why?

17,793 PointsLooks like your missing a closing bracket. Try:
print("You got it! the number was {}").format(secret_num)

7,827 PointsYou need a second parentheses at the end of the print command to close it.
