Suggestions: FTP, git, text editor.

Any suggestions out there for FTP, git, text editor, etc. for a developer environment. At my job we use bitbucket and phpStorm. But I'm looking for an alternative.

Right now, I'm using ATOM (editor), FileZilla (FTP), and Bluehost (hosting). I am working primarily with Wordpress and minimal custom work from scratch.
