Suggestion for Brand Development Video and Brand Identity Basic Course

It would be very helpful to mention and briefly go over the what makes up a Brand's Identity.

The course goes through stages and mentions the design development stage, but it would be very helpful if the video mentioned what are some of the possible identity elements you commonly need to design.

I agree.

My suggestion, more specifically , is to mention the visual identity elements and texts that are most commonly developed for a brand. We get a slight hint of it in the case studies, but it would be great make a clear identification of these.

As an introductory video, it would be very helpful to mention these elements and shine a light over what is developed in the brand design stage so students can understand what they will be getting into further on and thus be better informed on the tools, subjects and courses they will need to get theirs hands on.

The company's Brand is a combination of their subjective attributes, and values. Your goal is to find the essence of the company (assuming they don't know themselves) and use principals of design to display that visually, as well as literally through copy their identity. OR better represent the ideologies they hold in a more effective way. Brand is the company (or person) is telling the community what their values are, why they are to be trusted, what they represent, WHO the people behind the logos and copy and color schemes actually are and WHAT they stand for.

Hope that helps

PS take the Design Foundations course, its a much more in-depth look at what the process of RE-branding a small business might look like, something that could also be applied to a start-up or your own business someday.
