Python Python Basics (2015) Python Data Types Use .split() and .join()

stuck on the split and join exercise

I'm starting from scratch, square one with learning coding through python. As you can see here, I did something wrong. I just don't know what I am missing. I've tried a few different ways to no avail.

banana.py
available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(", ".join(display_menu))
display_menu = sundaes.join(", ")

so close, nearly there

available = "banana split;hot fudge;cherry;malted;black and white"
sundaes = available.split(';')
menu = "Our available flavors are: {}.".format(", ".join(display_menu))#what does the display_menu have at the moment
display_menu = sundaes.join(", ") #if you think, what does display_menu, had at the above line, you can decide this line

@PeterFalcone Did you ever complete this exercise?

Python's join method is a special one, I was stucked here too. Please consider the following way:

display_name = ", ".join(sundaes)

thanks guys. I had a long weekend to handle a few things, and now eagerly back in the ring
