3,211 PointsStuck on String Equality
I can't figure out why I'm not able to pass this code challenge.
I receive this error: Bummer! Are you sure you used the equals
method of firstName
and then called console.printf
?
The challenge is: Add an if statement that checks to see if firstExample is equal to secondExample. If it is, print out "first is equal to second".
My code:
String firstExample = "hello";
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
if (firstExample.equals("%s, secondExample")) {
console.printf("first is equal to second");
}
