do i have to alter any of the public methods to check the value of mHand?
public class ScrabblePlayer {
private String mHand;
public ScrabblePlayer() {
mHand = "";
}
public String getHand() {
return mHand;
}
public void addTile(char tile) {
// Adds the tile to the hand of the player
mHand += tile;
}
public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
return false;
}
}

23,733 PointsNo you don't. Try calling the indexOf() method on mHand. Pass the tile to the method and if the tile is in mHand the method will return its index, which will be 0 or greater, otherwise it will return -1. Use an if-else statement to check this return value and based on that return true or false.
