stuck on next objective

where do i go from here with my code, i cannot figure it...

public int getLineNumberFor(String lastName) { int lineNumber = 0;

Hi David Ritchey ,

You called an if statement, but the if statement has no condition to compare to, to in turn follow the expression that is put in the block.

If it doesn't work , could you copy and paste the whole code ? Helps me and others analyse it better if there are other issues :)
