i can't do this challenge and have been trying for a while. I would like the exact code because i can't figure it out with the help previously provided for similar cases.
Create a helper method that returns whether or not the GoKart needs to be charged. Make it public and name it isBatteryEmpty.
public class GoKart { public static final int MAX_BARS = 8; private String mColor; private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) { mColor = color; mBarsCount = 0; }
public String getColor() { return mColor; }
public void charge() { mBarsCount = MAX_BARS; } }
public class GoKart {
public static final int MAX_ENERGY_BARS = 8;
private String mColor;
private int mBarsCount;
public GoKart(String color) {
mColor = color;
mBarsCount = 0;
}
public String getColor() {
return mColor;
}
public void charge() {
while (isBatteryEmpty() ) {
mBarsCount++;
}
}
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public boolean !isBatteryEmpty() {
while (!isBatteryEmpty()) {
mBarsCount ++;
!isBatteryEmpty = false;
}
return mBarsCount == MAX_ENERGY_BARS;
}
}

71,830 PointsYou had the isBatteryEmpty() method done correctly. But then you wrote another !isBatteryEmpty() method, rather than an isFullyCharged() method. That would make the editor very unhappy. Also, you cannot put the ! operator in a method name.
public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
return mBarsCount == 0;
}
public boolean isFullyCharged() {
return mBarsCount == MAX_BARS;
}
