4,758 Pointsstructs.swift answer pls
I know the problem has to do with the instance method but I dont know how to fix it so that it will display the name from stuct Tag
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post {
let title: String
let author: String
let tag: Tag
func description() -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag: Tag(name))"
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()

28,558 PointsYour code is actually quite close. Your issue is that you aren't accessing the name
property of the tag
object in the right way.
To access the property of an object you simply need to type the object's name and then a dot and then the name of the property or method you want to access. The same way you access the description()
method from the firstPost
object.
Like this:
struct Tag {
let name: String
}
struct Post {
let title: String
let author: String
let tag: Tag
func description() -> String {
return "\(title) by \(author). Filed under \(tag.name)" // Access name property of tag
}
}
let firstPost = Post(title: "iOSDevelopment", author: "Apple", tag: Tag(name: "swift"))
let postDescription = firstPost.description()
