For the 1st question, you have to convert the tile into string (by doing tile+"") and concatenate it to the existing string in the mHand variable. The result is:
mHand += tile+"";
The 2nd question lets you use the indexOf() method to solve the problem by just checking if the index of tile char is greater or equal to zero(which means it exists in the hand) or if it is less than nough (exactly -1, which means it doesn't exist). The final content of hasTile method is:
return mHand.indexOf(tile) >= 0;
