the answer I get from the program is that store open is not true and if I assign to time a number that does exist in the list the program replies that the store open is not false and it does not solve me the problem

Treehouse TeacherHi there! You're actually doing really well here. But it might help to know how Treehouse looks at these challenges. They are going to send in a time (likely multiple times) to check that they get back the results they are expecting. But when they send it in, you're overwriting it with this line:
time = 5
Just remove that line completely and your code passes. You don't get to decide the time! Treehouse is going to do that Hope this helps!
