// I've imported java.io.Console for you. It is stored in a variable called console for you.
String name = console.readLine("what is your name? ");
String pastTentseVerb = console.readLine("enter a pastTentseVerb");
console.printf("%s %s pie today",name,pastTentseVerb);

Treehouse TeacherHi there! Yes, it is telling you that. But that's not all the Bummer! message says.
Bummer! Looks like you forgot to define a camel cased String variable named
pastTenseVerb
You haven't declared a variable named pastTenseVerb
, but rather a variable named pastTentseVerb
. Your version contains an extra "t" between the "n" and the "s" and now the challenge can't find the variable name it's looking for which results in this message.
Challenges are extremely strict and generally, your code must match to the letter. This includes capitalization, spelling, punctuation, and even spacing!
That being said, your syntax is spot on and you are otherwise doing a great job! Hope this helps!
