Slightly darker green background for the navigation links on mobile devices is not extending to the edge of the screen

The slightly darker green background for the navigation links on mobile devices is not extending to the edge of the screen for me like it does in the video. Can someone take a look at my coding and let me know what I am doing wrong? Thank You!

Hi Marci,

It looks like the workspace link you gave is not working anymore, so it's a little tough to guess what the issue is without seeing the HTML and result. BUT, my first thought is to set padding: 0; on the body and html, if you aren't doing that already.

If that doesn't help, then do you want to put the code in a codepen or fiddle? We could probably figure it out pretty quick.

Joe

Not sure if this is what you mean because I have never used this site before, so please excuse my inexperience

Check for margin and padding properties on the body. I have to override those all the time.

I see where I went wrong!

When I had the problem, my coding on the main.css page incrrectly was:

/***********************
NAVIGATION
************************/

nav {
  text-align: center;
  padding: 10px 0;
  margin: 20px;
}

But the correct coding is:

/***********************
NAVIGATION
************************/

nav {
  text-align: center;
  padding: 10px 0;
  margin: 20px 0 0 0;
}

Thank you Joseph Dalton and jacinator! You both pointed me in the right direction :)
