Should I use WordPress for my client's site?

I've been learning Front End Development for about a year and I was recently asked to build a website for a piano teacher. At first I only offered a static site with the option of having links to other services. I coded a beautiful design in static HTML/CSS/JS.

In hopes of saving myself time on email with my client about the content, I considered using WordPress to allow her to edit just the content itself inside of all my divs on her own time. It would also open me up to the possibility of having the payments and scheduling apps, which would look more professional for her and for my portfolio.

Is this a good reason to dive into PHP and WordPress? Also, what is the best way to move my site onto wordpress and specify what she can edit?

Hoping to have a lot of my questions answered in this track, but thought I would ask for advice. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

This course does a great job showing you how to bring your site into Wordpress and hook up custom fields for easy editing: https://teamtreehouse.com/library/wordpress-theme-development

Once you get setup within Wordpress you might want to look into Advanced Custom Fields for linking up additional fields: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/
