3,070 Pointsshould I move to react.js after I finish the front development courses?
should I move to react.js after I finish the front development courses? Or should I do npm and node courses Iβm full stack js course? No real path I see on here to get to react. Even though I have some experience with npm, git, parcel.js and webpack?

9,108 PointsI want to know this too... I know I want to learn and use react framework, I've done about half of the front end web dev track which has so far been vanilla JS, HTML/CSS, and the next lesson is jQuery, I want to know if at this stage I am actually ready to start learning react and skip the jQuery all together?
I'm not against learning jQuery but I thought of it as a nice to have skill rather than a must have if I am going to choose to work with react on the job and I'd like to prioritise learning React if it makes sense to?

3,070 PointsI think jquery at this point is optional companies still use it, but if youβre focus more on react then you could probably skip it and if you ever need it you can learn it a lot easier than learning JS for sure.

16,242 PointsMichael Fazekas it entirely depends on you, do you want to do only front-end? Then you can start with React.js right after completing the front-end track. You should have basic knowledge of HTML and JS, that is you should finish the front-end track so getting into React.js will be easier.
Emeline Lawford I would highly recommend that you finish the front-end track first. Everything you learn in it is important if you plan on becoming a front-end web developer. You will still find jQuery on many sites, it will likely be around for the next couple of years. I strongly encourage you to finish the front-end track, since going back and forth might confuse you. Besides, jQuery is really easy and fun to learn! But if you really want to, you could learn the basics of React.js and then come back to finish the front-end track. It's entirely up to you :)
