14,197 PointsShould I bother with doing web design tests on freelancer.com?
The test for HTML5 is $5. Not unreasonable, I just wonder if it's worth the effort. My samples are looking good and I feel ready and able to do small gigs. I'm limited to HTML/CSS, with no javascript or back-end skills yet.
I had no luck on elance nor odesk in the past. Fiverr has actually been the only online freelance place I've EVER made money but I don't like their system for doing lengthy projects such as whole web sites.

5,915 PointsIf you'll test well I'd recommend doing them. Over the years I've often hired a developer on Elance and oDesk (now Upwork) because he/she scored in the top 10% for a skill. But I've more often NOT hired someone because they didn't test or had less than great test scores.
