Can anyone explain more on Sheen, or how I apply sheen in Photoshop? Thanks

Treehouse TeacherHi Ernest,
"Sheen" isn't a technical term; It's just a word I used to describe a visual aesthetic of a shiny looking button. :)
In Photoshop, you can do this a number of ways, depending on the situation. If you have a fairly uniform surface with just 1 color and some light texture, you could probably apply a linear gradient to the shape layer. Bonus points if you skip Photoshop and do this with CSS3 gradients.
You could also create a separate layer with a gradient that transitions from a slightly opaque color to a completely transparent color. Then, you can place that layer over top and mask it to the shape.
