When I try to set a default option for the performSearch function I get a console warning with no results on the page:
"warning Expected an assignment or function call and instead saw an expression no-unused-expressions"
my code looks exactly like Guils:
performSearch = (query = 'cats') => {
//function stuff
}

I think it's because inside the source code you downloaded, ESLint is pre-installed https://eslint.org/docs/2.0.0/rules/no-unused-expressions And Guil didn't mention it in this cource
