set the character set for the page

Hi! I am trying to set the character set for the page (see below) and it does not seem to be working. What have I done wrong?! Thank you :)

<!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" </head> <body></body> </html>

    <meta charset="utf-8"

Hi Julia,

It seems that you have not closed your meta tag when defining the character set for the page.

Try closing the tag with a closing angle bracket and it should work fine.
