Set the character set for a page

I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've set the character set as <meta charset = "utf-8"> embedded within the <head></head>, yet it's still producing the message of set the attributes.

the meta charset = utf-8 is the attribute, so not sure. Help me Obi-Wan your my only hope

Looks ok, just try getting rid of the spaces either side of the = sign and you should be good.
