Even though I have the same code that is used in the video (from the downloads tab), when I decrease the size of my browser window the pictures never separate into two columns. Is their something that I could be doing wrong that I need to fix?

20,364 PointsIt could well be related to something missing or wrong in the media queries. When you go to the smaller one, you get one column only?
The thing that would help the most is, like Andrew said, if you could post a snapshot of your Workspace. In this video you'll see how to do that.

I have downloaded the code and it's fine for me with 2 columns even I squash the window to the smallest size
If you're using Chrome or Firefox try ctrl+shift+j and see the console part if there is any error for including css files
