JavaScript JavaScript Array Iteration Methods Combining Array Methods Combining filter() and reduce()

Says .filter and .reduce have not been called when they have.

When I run my code for this challenge in Treehouse's code editor it works. But, when I run the code within the challenge, it says I have not called the filter or reduce functions.

I'm not sure why it says I'm wrong when the code works in the editor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

app.js
const purchaseItems = [
    {
        name: 'apples',
        dept: 'groceries',
        price: 2.49
    },
    {
        name: 'bread',
        dept: 'groceries',
        price: 2.99
    },
    {
        name: 'batteries',
        dept: 'electronics',
        price: 5.80
    },
    {
        name: 'eggs',
        dept: 'groceries',
        price: 3.99
    },
    {
        name: 't-shirts',
        dept: 'apparel',
        price: 9.99
    }
];
let groceryTotal;
// groceryTotal should be: 9.47
// Write your code below
groceryTotal = purchaseItems.filter(item => item.dept === "groceries").reduce((sum, item) => sum + item.price, 0).toFixed(2);
console.log(groceryTotal);

There isn't any need to use the toFixed() method.

So instead of:

groceryTotal = purchaseItems
   .filter(item => item.dept === "groceries")
   .reduce((sum, item) => sum + item.price, 0).toFixed(2);
console.log(groceryTotal);

Give this a go:

groceryTotal = purchaseItems
  .filter(total => total.dept === 'groceries')
  .reduce((sum, total) => sum + total.price, 0);
console.log(groceryTotal);

Hope this helps!

Berian
