"s" in variable "secondExample" keeps giving me an error for "cannot find symbol". Is there any fix to this?

I'm using the lowercase s and in my statement "if (firstExample.equals(secondExample))" the s in "secondExample" gives me java error 106 regardless of what I do.

Equality.java
// I have imported a java.io.Console for you, it is named console.
String firstExample = "hello";
if (firstExample.equals(secondExample))
  console.printf("first is equal to second");
String secondExample = "hello";
String thirdExample = "HELLO";
