RelativeLayout isn't in the Component Tree and i can't add it?

i am using Android Studio 1.5.1 and have CustomView instead of RelativeLayout so i can't insert the imageView.. What to do?

i think when you started the new project you clicked the wrong starting view type, i dont remember off the top of my head but i had the same problem and a started over with the beginning starting layout and it worked correctly.
