Refactoring a pen that I've been using as a playground for a few weeks...

...and it's actually starting to look like something I'm becoming more and more proud of.

Turning 45 in November, I've been using Treehouse over the last few years - not only to refine my current skill set - but to also broaden it quite a bit. This is probably the first time I seriously feel that I'm starting to nail down some fundamentals that I just never had the time to challenge myself with.

Everything is hand-coded, and any time I want to add something, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few weeks. I've been designing and developing for many years, and this is a great example of how I constantly challenge myself to force personal and professional growth.

This is probably about 33.333333% complete at this point. Just thought I'd share.

Thank you for sharing that, Steven Ventimiglia. It is really inspiring for others (me included!).

I believe more people should do like this, and we can learn a lot from each other. Would be fantastic.

Here's a little trick. Click @stevenventimiglia and enter your own profile name. Gonna clean that up and style it tomorrow. Also, if the JSON file presents a 404 error, then it just defaults to my profile - but will end up being the landing page which I'm planning to be a simple search field with some Treehouse tweets. ;)
