In the video, Guil mentions that you can use either single quote marks or double quote marks for urls.
Is that globally the case for HTML and CSS (and other languages), or are there some instances in which one is accepted and the other is not?

231,271 PointsQuote types are your option in CSS and HTML, just remember to always balance them. I don't think there's a "standard practice" that favors one over the other.
But in other languages, they might have different uses. For example, in C# double quotes enclose a string, and single quotes enclose a single character.
