iOS Swift Collections and Control Flow Introduction to Collections Working With Arrays

Quiz Bummer Question

Bummer! Make sure you're removing the 6th item from the array at index 5!

I thought that's what I did.

array.swift
// Enter your code below

var arrayOfInts: [Int] = [0,1,2,3,4,5]

arrayOfInts.append(6)
arrayOfInts = arrayOfInts + [7]

let value = arrayOfInts[4]

arrayOfInts.remove(at: 5)

let discardedValue = arrayOfInts

1 Answer

So close. It appears the .remove() function returns a value. They wanted you to store this returned value in the last variable. You returned the new array.

// Enter your code below

var arrayOfInts: [Int] = [0,1,2,3,4,5]

arrayOfInts.append(6)
arrayOfInts = arrayOfInts + [7]

let value = arrayOfInts[4]

let discardedValue = arrayOfInts.remove(at: 5)

is this right i need help keeps tell me its wrong var arrayOfInts = [1,2,3,4,5,6] arrayOfInts.append (7) arrayOfInts += [8] let value = arrayOfInts [7] let discardedValue = arrayOfInts.remove(at: 6)
