Questions says to link list item Portfolio to "index.html", I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong.

Challenge Task 3 of 3 This is my Challenge Task: Link each of the three list items. Portfolio should go to “index.html”, About should go to “about.html”, and Contact should go to “contact.html”. This is my answer: <nav> <ul>
<li><a href="index.html"></a>Portfolio</li> <li><a href="about.html"></a>About</li> <li><a href="contact.html"></a>Contact</li> </ul> </nav> It says that my answer is wrong. I can't figure out what is wrong with it. Please help.

Small misunderstanding here is all. Example with comment below...

        </ul>
        </nav>
    </header>
    <section></section>
    <footer>
      <p>&copy; 2013 Nick Pettit.</p>

Portfolio should be in between the anchor tags like this;

<li><a href="index.html">Portfolio</a></li>

So that your code should come out like this;
