5,879 PointsQuestion about isInvalidWord variable.
I noticed the code in the video is:
isInvalidWord = (noun.equalsIgnoreCase("dork") || noun.equalsIgnoreCase("jerk"));
with parenthesis around the value. So, in the "if ()" statement, it would be:
if ( (noun.equalsIgnoreCase("dork") || noun.equalsIgnoreCase("jerk")) )
Is that correct? I tried removing the outer parenthesis when defining isInvalidWord and the code worked the same. So do extra parenthesis not matter? Could I write:
if (((((noun.equalsIgnoreCase("dork") || noun.equalsIgnoreCase("jerk"))))))
and it would still work?
