Question about flypickup script

Aftering following the video and using the exact code shown it wasn't updating the score number in the top right for me but after adding using.unityengine.ui to the flypickup script it worked. i guess im just wondering why it worked for you in the video even though you did not have that at the top of your flypickup script.
