26,680 PointsQuestion about C++
Hello, I am wondering why there are not any tutorials/courses about C++. Has C++ bad future? Is it better to learn golang?

In a recent survey, C++ was ranked at #5 based on the number of job listings for it. This is a higher rank than it held in a similar survey in 2016. But it tends to be used mostly for things other than web technologies. C++ is a powerful, high-performance language often used to build system software, games engines and desktop applications. It is also generally considered to have a steeper learning curve that most web-oriented languages.
When someone asked a similar question 6 months ago, staff member Jay Padzensky replied:
While C++ is indeed a powerful language, Treehouse tends to focus on technologies more commonly associated with web development and modern languages are generally far easier to use than C++ for such tasks.
FYI: The 4 most popular languages according to that survey are (starting with #1), SQL, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
